England + Mavs
December saw the England U25 team head out to Singapore for the Men’s Netball Nations Series and Mavs were thrilled to have representation on court and on the bench.
Jacob Kirby was selected into the travelling squad for the second year running and he gained his first international starts at Goal Attack during the tour. Our Operations Manager, Tamryn Settle, also had a staff spot on the bench this year, managing the team’s social media across the week.

England had a fantastic tour, with the Trailblazers taking their first-ever international win against hosts Singapore on day two of the tournament. This was backed up with wins against Hong Kong and New Zealand in the round-robin stage of the tournament. At the end of this, England booked themselves a place in the semi-final against the amazing Fijian team.
The Trailblazers couldn’t quite take the win against Fiji, who were outstanding and rightly took a place in the final against Australia, who they also beat in a nail-biting game.
England faced New Zealand again in the 3rd/4th place play-off on the last day of the tournament and yet again, England got the better of the New Zealanders, running out 52-35 winners to take a well-deserved bronze medal.
Jacob and Tam would like to thank all the Mavs for their support during the week - knowing everyone was watching and cheering from the other side of the world made a big difference!
