Early Summer Update
May and June have flown by - a combination of league games, tournaments, historic moments and early preparation for August’s National Championships have kept us very busy. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to…

In May, we’ve been busy ticking off more fixtures in this year’s EMMNA national league. Our mixed team is having a fantastic season, only losing narrowly to table-topping Kraken with the Mavs currently sitting nicely in second spot. Mavs Men are having some real battles in a highly competitive league that also features the likes of London Giants, Knights, and Norfolk Roos. Everyone’s working super hard and we’re looking forward to the second round to put everything we’ve been working on into practice.
Sunny summer weekends also mean it’s tournament season and we’re squeezing in as many days out as we can around league fixtures. We’ve had a great time recently at Tongham NC’s Margaret Mann Medley, where we came away winners, and also Unicorns NC’s annual Pride tournament, finishing 5th out of twenty-four.

We’ve also been out, witnessing a little bit of history as we were lucky enough to have front row seats for the first match in the Aurora Series where the Aussie Kelpies took on the England Thorns.
